Bambora launches Diners Club acceptance

Avis Scandinavia is the first in-store merchant in the Nordics to be able to accept Diners Club International®, Discover® and affiliate network cards through their partnership with Bambora. This launch allows Avis Scandinavia to accept cards from cardholders all over the world, an opportunity that Bambora will now work to extend to all of our in-store merchants over the coming months.

Bambora are happy to announce that we have activated acquiring for the Discover Global Network for our first in-store merchant in the Nordics: Avis Scandinavia. As part of one of the world’s leading car rental companies, with a large international customer-base, Avis Scandinavia is not only an important partner for Bambora but also a good example of a business that will benefit from our expanded acquiring offer.

Discover Global Network includes Diners Club International and Discover, PULSE and affiliate networks. It has acceptance at 44 million merchants, over 2 million ATM and cash access locations in more than 190 countries, making it a valuable addition for Bambora’s customers.

Following the successful launch with Avis Scandinavia, Bambora will now focus on setting up the integrations needed to offer Discover Global Network acceptance to all our customers. This work will be done on a gateway-by-gateway basis and we expect to be ready to offer it to a majority of our merchants by the end of 2019.
