What is a Merchant Agreement?

In order to accept card payments, every business requires a Merchant Agreement. This agreement ensures that there is money in the customer’s account, that the money is drawn, and that the money from each transaction goes directly into your account.

1. Customer

A customer makes a card payment in your physical or online store.

2. Acquirer

With the help of your acquirer, we verify that there is money in the customer’s account and then withdraw the order amount from this account.

3. Shop owner

The acquirer ensures that the money from all card transactions is deposited in your account.

4. Bank

Any bank at all, this is where you have your business account and where the money is transferred.
