I haven't taken online payments before, how do I get started?

If you're ready to go, the next thing to do is choose your Checkout. We have three types of Checkout integration for your website: Checkout, Custom Checkout and External Checkout. We will help you with the integration every step of the way.


What is PCI?

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a standard set of security guidelines that every company who takes payments online must follow to ensure the safety of their customers' data.


Do I need a merchant account to take online payments?

No. If you have a merchant account already, it's all good, but if you don't you can opt to use Bambora Ready as a payments facilitator. This is where we work directly with banks for you, eliminating the need to get a merchant account.


What payment methods can my customers use?

Your customers can pay their way: accept all major credit and debit cards and digital wallets including Visa Checkout, Masterpass, Apple Pay, Android Pay and Diners.


Can I take international payments?

Of course! You can accept payments from anywhere around the globe, and they will be billed in AUD.


What is BackOffice

This is our insights and analysis tool. You'll receive full access when you sign up to Bambora services, enabling you to keep track of your payments.


Is taking payments online safe? For me and my customers?

Taking online payments is risky when you don't use an approved, fully PCI compliant payments processor or any payment fraud protection. It is paramount that customer card details are kept safe and can never be reached by hackers or fraudsters. If these details are compromised, you are putting your business and your customers at risk - and you could receive a hefty fine.

If you choose Bambora as your payments processor, you can take payments safe in the knowledge that your customer's card details are completely safe. You can leverage our PCI compliance and you always receive fraud tools as standard.


How do I switch from my existing payments provider to Bambora?

Switching is easy. Speak to one of our expert support staff who will review your current situation and explain the switching process so you can start adding valuable features to your checkout process as soon as possible.


Are Bambora's payment pages completely responsive?

Yes, of course, customer experience is everything to us. Payment pages are fully responsive, fitting all mobiles, tablets and other devices.


Where can I access my transaction data?

As the customer, you have control of all your data and can access it via Bambora BackOffice, which you'll receive login details for when you sign-up.
